The Park St George's Park - St George’s Park Reservoir
St George’s Park Reservoir

At a meeting of the Special water, Drainage and Electric Lighting Committee, held on the 13th instant, the Engineer reported good progress was being made with the work of the service reservoir at St George’s Park, although there had been a slight delay with the roof owing to the supply of stone running short.

Very little time had, however, been lost as the pillars, floor and side walls were in hand.

The whole of the reinforced concrete pillar and lower portion of the floor were finished.

Arrangements were being made for painting the Memorial Fountain, and experiments carried out with the object of improving the basin jets.

So far the scheme had cost £296,217 16s 5d leaving a balance of £63,782 3s 7d on the loan.
