The Park St George's Park - The Aviary
The Aviary

In 1933 an aviary was built in St George's Park, near the Pearson Conservatory, to house birds given by Mr Billingham of Cape Town.

The aviary was situated near the Pearson Conservatory and was a popular spot with young mothers, particularly on weekends.

Not much else is known about this aviary and if anyone can shed further light on the issue it would be appreciated if they would contact us.
