Castle Brewery Presents Cup

The Castle Brewery of this town have very generously presented a Cup for competition among local Wednesday afternoon cricket teams, the conditions being that the successful team holds the Cup for one year. The clubs who have entered the competition are as follows:- Police, Grocers, United Banks, Algoa Wednesdays and Suburban Wednesday. The first two matches take place this afternoon, these being: Algoa Wednesday vs Police, and Suburbans vs United Banks, on the ground of the first named in each case, commencing at 2.30pm. The matches in connection with the competition are two-day matches, and will be played on the ordinary league principle, home and away matches. The Cup presented in connection with the competition is now on view in the shop window of Messrs Bisseker George and Co.
